Neidling/Austria − He had been performing very well over the last weeks, especially his putting was excellent and with a 2nd place in Haugschlag and T4 in Adamstal last week he had already put his hand on the trophies. This time, at the first edition of the St. Pölten Pro Golf Tour, Reinier Saxton successfully put the second win of the 2015 season on his belt. With a birdie on the last hole, a 434 meter par 5, the 27 year old from Amsterdam triumphed over German Philipp Mejow. Both had teed off with 13 under par on the last hole but only Saxton was able to roll the ball into the cup for birdie.

"I really thought we all would shoot lower scores here", Saxton said after the winning ceremony, "the golf course is not too long and it is not too tough, but still it was a very hard fight for me today to finally win." After his victory at the Red Sea Egyptian Classic at the very beginning of the season this is Saxtons second success in 2015 and it brings his name right to the very top of the Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit. "It would be great to also be in this spot at the very end of the season", Saxton said, "but at least I want to be one of the top 5!"

This would mean he could move on to the 2016 European Challenge Tour. A feeling Saxton will very well remember from 2011 when he won the overall ranking of the Pro Golf Tour for the first time. Still some way to go, but with his consistency there is not many doubts that the man from Amsterdam is in a very good position to repeat his success.
