Düsseldorf/Bochum/Neidling − "The popularity of our tour continues uninterrupted! With the premiere of the KOSAIDO Düsseldorf Open we have now been able to fill the very last gap that we even had in our tour calendar during the summer months", says Rainer Goldrian, Managing Director of the Pro Golf Tour. "We are proud that we have succeeded in establishing another tournament in Germany and giving our members the chance to play continuously throughout the summer season. And at such an outstanding as well as central venue."

The KOSAIDO International Golf Club Düsseldorf is just a 15 minute car drive away from Düsseldorf city centre. With par 71, the course is 5,562 metres long and demands precision above everything else on the fairways lined by dense forests. The Kosaido International Golf Club Düsseldorf was founded in 1989 by the Japanese company Kosaido Development Ltd. and has been running for more than 20 years. The Japanese golf course architect Hirochika and the company Golf Consult designed the course and skilfully integrated its fairways into the topography of the Bergisches Land region.

"We are delighted that we are able to welcome a high-ranking international field of players, the golf stars of tomorrow, to the KOSAIDO International Golf Club Düsseldorf for the first time at the start of August", say Susanne Schmitz-Abshagen and Ralf H. Schmitz, Managing Directors of the club. "Our aim is to provide the Pro Golf Tour players and all the ProAm players with an outstanding and challenging course where a fair and thrilling competition can be hosted in a great setting." As the 18th of 22 tournaments in total this year, the KOSAIDO Düsseldorf Open is also the final spurt to the 2015 season: anyone wanting to reach one of the top five spots in the ranking, must have achieved wins and absolute top positions by now at the latest to collect the necessary ranking list points.

One hour drive to Bochum and the Sparkassen Open 2015

The players then travel from Düsseldorf to Bochum, which is just under an hour’s drive away, where the premiere of the Sparkassen Open 2015 is on the calendar from 10 to 12 August at Bochum golf club. The 18-hole course to the south of the city is 5,589 metres long, is played as par 70 and is characterised by its hilly topography and greens well protected by bunkers. "A good course strategy is crucial for success", knows PGA Golfprofessional Ralf Pütter, who brought the Pro Golf Tour to Bochum and won Sparkasse Bochum as the tournament sponsor.

They are getting involved in a tour tournament for the first time and are clearly committed to golf as a growing sport: "Promoting sport in all areas has been very important to Sparkasse Bochum for many years", says Annette Adameit, spokeswoman for Sparkasse Bochum and adds: "Many thousands of citizens are active members of sports clubs, they play football, basketball, tennis and much more. Golf also has a growing fan base. We are therefore delighted to be able to present such a top-class event in Bochum."

Premiere of the St. Pölten Pro Golf Tour

The Pro Golf Tour is gaining more and more fans in Austria too: with two tournaments having enriched the tour calendar on Austrian soil over the last few years, the professionals are also teeing off in Neidling near St. Pölten in Lower Austria for the first time in the 2015 season. The St. Pölten Pro Golf Tour 2015 is welcoming players to the St. Pölten golf club from 6 to 8 June where EUR 30,000 prize money is being played for. The St. Pölten GC golf course is designed as par 72, is nestled in a picturesque landscape and is also an extremely challenging sporting terrain for the Pro Golf Tour players. The tournament concludes the Austrian trilogy of the Pro Golf Tour 2015, which starts on 27 May with the Haugschlag NÖ Open and continues on 1 June with the Adamstal Open powered by EURAM Bank AG.

As a result, they are playing for EUR 680,000 prize money in total at 22 tournaments in the 2015 season. 21 events are endowed with EUR 30,000 each and with the tour finale in Adendorf near Hamburg at the end of September they are even playing for EUR 50,000.
