Pro Golf Tour in Morocco
Partnership with tradition
It seemed like a small sensation what happened in the king’s garden: While Scotsman Richie Ramsay had won the Trophée Hassan II and received his trophy from Moulay Rachid prince of morocco, German Marcel Schneider could draw attention at himself with a shared ninth place on the European Tour Tournament in Agadir. He attracted notice as the best german player. With an excellent Score of 7 under par the 25 year-old man from Pleidelsheim achieved a great result on his first tournament of the 2015 season. An impressing performance on a tournament on which he could have only participated, because he had won the 2014 Pro Golf Tour season. There he had yielded a wildcard for theTrophée Hassan II 2015. The foundation of his overall victory was laid in El Jadida after winning the Open Madaef. In 2015 that tournament will be the last of eight Pro Golf Tour events in Morocco (26. - 28. April). In this week, from April 14 until April 16, tournament number 6, the Open Casa Green Golf in Casablanca takes place, followed by the seventh tournament the Open Royal Golf Anfa Mohammedia (20. - 22.04).
Casablanca – Morocco and the Pro Golf Tour: A partnership with tradition. Since the year of 2010 the Pro Golf Tour host golf events in the most western arabic country. Magnificent golf courses, bright sunshine and a spectacular atmosphere cause the perfect requirement for great tournaments. Five events have already been played this year, the next one will take place on April 14: the Open Casa Green Golf 2015 in Casablanca. The 18-hole-course of the Casa Green Golf Club was designed by Jeremy Pern and is situated nearby the citys amazing scenery. Top-players like the Pro Golf Tour Order of Merit leader, Philipp Mejow from Berlin, his opponent and ranking-haunter Swiss Benjamin Rusch, and the number 3 of the rankings, Teemu Bakker from Finnland, are participating and hoping for a victory.
That might happen this week in Casablanca,or on April 22 in Mohammedia, which is only about 30 kilometres away. On April 20 the Open Royal Golf Anfa Mohammedia 2015 will take place. It is the first time the Pro Golf Tour comes to this city. The beautiful grounds of the in 1930 founded Mohammedia Royal Golf Club offer one of the most amazing 18-hole courses in Morocco. This and the overall prize money of 30.000 Euro and also that much points in the Order of Merit causes the this year’s tournament-winners Martin Keskari, Matthieu Decottignies-Lafon and Reinier Saxton to compete.
